Bob McWilliams
General Manager
in Fargo, ND, and their daughter, Stephanie, and her husband, Chase, who live in Farmington, MN. In his free time, Bob enjoys sports, outdoor activities, and spending time with his family. Bob and Vanessa will be sharing an office, so that is where you will typically find him when he’s not out visiting with members at the simulators or in the pub.
Collin Cannon
Course Superintendent
Collin is originally from Hutchinson, MN and completed his Bachelor’s of Science degree from North Dakota State University majoring in Sports and Urban Turfgrass Management. Collin began working for the GFCC in 2014 as the Assistant Superintendent and has been the Golf Course Superintendent since 2016. He enjoys watching sports, hunting in the fall, and traveling when time allows. Collin also enjoys spending time with his wife Vicki, and together they have three children; Elowen, Everet, and Easton. Collin has achieved his Certified Golf Course Superintendent (CGCS) certification in 2026.
Mike Slominski, PGA
Director of Golf and Facilities
Mike is from Grand Forks and graduated from the University of North Dakota where he played three years of collegiate golf. In 2018, Mike became a PGA Golf Professional. Mike enjoys spending time with his wife Allison, 4 children, and other family and friends.
Justin Welsh
Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager
Justin Welsh is a Grand Forks, ND native who began his culinary journey at the age of 15, working in local restaurants. In 2004, he pursued his passion by attending culinary school in Portland, Oregon. Justin is inspired by the creative process of experimenting with different cuisines and learning through trial and error. His favorite dish to prepare is Beef Bourguignon—a classic that reflects his love for rich, comforting flavors. At home, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife, Rachel, and their three children: Gracie, Michael, and Ralph. He credits Rachel as his favorite local chef, while his culinary hero is the legendary Julia Child.
Madisson Peters
Event Manager & Communications Lead
Our Event Coordinator, Madisson Peters, is a native of Grand Forks, North Dakota, and a graduate of Red River High School. She is currently a junior at the University of North Dakota, pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Literacy, and plans to graduate in Spring 2027.
Madisson joined the team at the country club in Spring 2025 as a server, where she quickly developed a strong connection with members and a passion for creating positive experiences. Her time in that role gave her valuable insight into the importance of hospitality, attention to detail, and building meaningful relationships. She is excited to step into her new position as Event Coordinator and continue serving members in a new capacity.
In addition to her work at the club, Madisson is actively involved in ministry and worship at Hope Church. Through these experiences, she has developed a heart for serving others, fostering community, and creating welcoming environments where people feel valued and connected.
Madisson is passionate about planning events that bring people together and create lasting memories, whether through member events, celebrations, or everyday interactions at the club. She looks forward to connecting with members and helping make each experience special and memorable.
